Physically speaking, this 'Crat/Super 400 is in great shape with the orig lacquer developing that sweet dark honey amber patina. They have, BY FAR, the most power and best intonation/tuning of all vintage American and French tenors. Of all the vintage sopranos, altos, bari's and tenors we get passing through the studio the Bueschers consistently peg the tuner needle at "0" with rubber or metal mouthpieces. It plays great from top to bottom with ease. The pads are older, but still sealing properly with a light touch. This horn is in excellent playing condition. This horn features gold plated Norton screw in springs, snap on resonators (and they are all there!), rear mounted rear-facing bell keys, and an oversized bell flare just like the Super 400 and Top Hat & Cane. Serial number is 355,000 indicating a 1955 production date. 1950's vintage Buescher Aristocrat tenor saxophone with original lacquer, original case, original neck.
